John and Jacky Taylor

Location:
United States

Sending Organization:
ABWE Canada

One of our own, John attended Calvary since he was born, and it was here that he placed his faith in Christ and was baptized. He served as a pastoral intern and was ordained by Calvary. Jacky was raised on a dairy farm south of Woodstock, and came to faith as a girl.

John & Jacky met at London Baptist Bible College, and recognized God’s call to missions. After attending seminary in Michigan, they were sent by Calvary and appointed with ABWE in 1991. They served in Odessa, Ukraine from 1993 to 2016, serving on the leadership of two church plants, and as ABWE team leader. John was also co-founder and President of the Church Ministries Institute, including a network of local church centered Bible schools in Eurasia. Jacky was involved in ministry to women and children, and developed relationships with unbelievers.

In 2016, John was appointed ABWE’s Vice President of Training & Resources, based in Harrisburg, PA. In this new role, he oversees missionary development, Good Soil Evangelism & Discipleship, International Theological Education, and serves on the Senior Leadership Team. Jacky is involved in outreach ministries.

John & Jacky have three children. Jessica serves in North Africa, Josh & Abby live in New York, and Joanna is studying at Moody Bible Institute.
