Dan gave his life to Jesus as a child through the influence of his parents. After high school, he attended Capernwray Harbour Bible School on Thetis Island, BC for two years. It was here where he sensed God’s call to full time missionary service.
After Bible school, Dan moved back to his hometown of Ottawa and enrolled at Carleton University. Although majoring in Math and Statistics, Dan’s real passion was found in his involvement with the student club, Power to Change (then Campus for Christ). After venturing to East Asia on several short term mission trips through Power to Change throughout his degree, Dan decided to serve in a full time capacity. He spent two years in East Asia, helping to establish and expand student ministries on university campuses. It was through his involvement in East Asia missions that he met Amanda, who was serving in much the same way.
Upon returning to Canada, he joined full time staff and was assigned to the University of Guelph. Here he took on the team leader position in the Fall of 2011 and continues in that role today. Dan and Amanda were married in 2011, and their son Isaac was born in 2015.
In addition to his role at the University of Guelph, Dan serves as a team leader at McMaster University and is a director of P2C’s Western European partnership.
